Aspirin

3
Very Bad
Aspirin may be used as an analgesic or inflammation reducer in dogs, however, dosing must be administered strictly and properly. Never give your dog aspirin unless it is prescribed by your veterinarian. It is not difficult to exceed recommended dosage and inadvertently cause toxic aspirin poisoning. It is believed to be slightly more toxic in cats and should not be given to them at all.

Symptoms of aspirin poisoning include excessive panting, vomiting (sometimes with blood), depression, lethargy, anxiety, diarrhea, loss of appetite, or excessive thirst.
