Macadamia Nuts

2
Bad
Macadamia nuts present a rather high risk of toxicity to dogs and possibly cats. Clinical symptoms include muscle tremors, wobbling gait, depression, lethargy, vomiting, weakness, elevated heart rate, and elevated body temperature. While the effects can be dramatic, prognosis is considered good. Veterinarians will often induce vomiting and administer activated charcoal.

Often these nuts are found with chocolate in the form of a cookie. The chocolate can further increase complications.
